Nintendo's Amiibo collection is limited to Smash Bros. characters for now, but a some fans have altered the figurines with their own custom touches.
Some are simple –– the addition of red paint to the Animal Crossing Villager's face and axe, for example –– but others received completely new items and outfit styles. Check out the gallery below for a rundown of several fans' innovations.
CHIBISILVERWINGS' modifications took 10 hours to complete, according to the fan's Imgur page. These variants include Dark Link –– of Legend of Zelda fame –– the aforementioned Animal Crossing villager, Link with his blue tunic and Ocarina of Time mirror shield, and Pikachu with a set of blue goggles.
